# A tool ran but there is no output

> What happens to credits and partial work when a turn fails.

If a generation **fails completely** (no output), Galaxy keeps the error on the assistant message and does not treat the turn as a success. Tool settlement is once per successful tool invocation. A failed Magica call should not charge a completed-tool cost.

If a generation **completed** but you do not like the image or crop, that successful tool is still settled. Send another message to retry or revise.

## Partial work

If credits run out mid-turn, earlier successful tool results stay in the chat. Approve a credit waitpoint to continue, or stop and keep what already landed.

## What you should see

A failed turn should stay explainable in the chat: status, a safe error, tool outcomes, any partial text, and a way to send again.
